Fly Boys: Western Pennsylvania’s Tuskegee Airmen

In the dangerous days of World War II, there were few roles more glamorous – and dangerous – than that of the fighter pilot. And while the rest of the country lined up to do battle, African Americans were no different. They wanted to show their patriotism by taking to the skies, fighting the enemy and protecting their country. This program tells the story of the brave men who battled in the air and on the ground.
